This is the time of year I refer to the Ugly Time of Year... all the beautiful sights and sounds of the holiday season start to disappear. Freshly fallen snow is heavenly on the eyes but after a couple of days the drab, dirty gray and browns, along with the bare trees and empty skies start to take a toll on our spirits. We start to feel as though our Winters are never going to end and we long for the signs of spring... buds, crocuses, birds, and the sun's warm rays. With a snowstorm knocking at our windows and more to follow over the course of the next week I'm thinking I need to cheer up the inside of my home.
I simply adore flowers. Whether a single stem in a small jar, a plain yet stately planter or a lavish bouquet, flowers add color, warmth, energy and cheer to your home. In some cases, a room would simply be naked without them.
